Guri Kunna

Guri Kunna Upper Secondary School, located in the strong aquaculture communities of Hitra and Frøya on the Trøndelag coast, offers a wide range of educational opportunities. With one campus on each island, we provide both general studies programs and six vocational education programs: Building and construction, electrical engineering, health and childhood care, nature use/aquaculture, restaurant and food studies, as well as technology and industrial production.

Spice Blend with Sea Truffle: 

Can be used on all kinds of seafood – but also in mayonnaise, sauces, butter, and more. 

A light sprinkle on purées, rice, pasta, potatoes, or on crispbread, salted biscuits, focaccia, etc., enhances the flavor and adds that little extra. 

Ingredients: Sea truffle (Vertebrata lanosa), dried parsley, salt, citric acid. 

The sea truffle used in the spice blend – which is actually a type of algae - has been harvested in selected areas with clean and fresh seawater by students and teachers in the Restaurant and Food Studies program. The other ingredients in the spice mix have been purchased through the school’s suppliers.
